1. Not sure why but my upper back is really achy tonight. Maybe because there's another snowstorm approaching. My body has been something of a barometer ever since I broke my leg many years ago. We've had at least 8 inches of snow since 11:30 p.m. last night. Weather dudette this morning (6:30) said it had been snowing 1-2 inches PER HOUR for the previous hour or two.

Well, it appears that New Orleans has dodged a bullet regarding Hurricane Gustav. The worst I've seen so far (in several hours of watching MSNBC off and on during the day) is that an 8-foot levee in Plaquemines Parish (south of NOLA) had "overtopped".
